Here in our house, we are in organizing overdrive lately, because our house is on the market. This is the first time we've sold a home and it is STRESSFUL! Cutie Pie loves to tear through the house and pull out all her toys, as SOON as I've got it cleaned. Even our regular methods of organization have to be streamlined because everything has to be put away out of site. In fact, we were told it was better if a minimal amount of personal effects were out in plain site.
With my hubby and I both working out of the house and having a LOT of office supplies and papers around, I decided to create a little "hide-away" command center for myself on my nightstand. I needed a place to store my family's important papers, my blog planners, binders and supplies for Happy Organized Life.
So I found these beautiful ceramic boxes at Home Goods and a cute chevron basket from Target with grommetts in the side and started organizing. I chose a basket with a side hole because it is perfect for threading cords through. My electronics (Kindle and phone) are tucked neatly away and are still able to be charged.

Then in the top drawer of my nightstand I have a few reference books and my binders for easy access, menu planning and business notes. How do you maximize small spaces or clear the clutter in your home? After this little project, I'm curious how many other ways I could "tuck away" important items so they are easy to find, yet not out in the open! This might inspire many more projects to come....

I love your organizing ideas, do you have a class for Husbands? HA :)
