We can never have enough snack in our house. I feel like I am constantly running to the store picking up "toddler-friendly" foods, because "Cutie-Pie" is a bottomless pit! Feeling the pull of the Valentine's holiday quickly approaching, I decided to throw together a snack mix the whole family could enjoy that was cute and had a few dashes of pink thrown to make it a little more festive. Trolling the aisles of the grocery store, I grabbed some foods Cutie Pie loves (and a few special treats) and threw them in the cart. As I imagined, it was a big hit (with her and my hubby).
Here are the ingredients I included:
Now Cutie Pie is only 16 months old and cuts teeth SLOWLY, but a few other ingredients that would be great with older toddlers might include:
-Strawberry fruit snacks
-Freeze dried Strawberries
-Frosted Shredded Mini Wheat Cereal
-Dried berries
-Banana "Chips"
-Craisins
She could hardly wait to dive in...I hardly had time to snap a few pics before she was "sampling" the recipe.
Mmm, Mmmm...Yummy!
While all these things (frosted cookies for instance) are not foods I allow in our house, it's fun sometimes to have a little special holiday treat. Have any other yummy treats you like to make with your little one? I'd love to hear about them...leave me a comment and tell me all about it!
