It’s Day 2 of our 31 Days of Decluttering! So how was day 1? Honestly? How’d you do? I absolutely loved reading some of the gross things you found in your purse. They cracked me up (if you haven’t seen those yet, be sure to read the comments on Day 1’s post and add your own if you haven’t already).
My purse really wasn’t in terrible shape, but I did find these two unexpected treasures inside. (Sorry this is such a horrible picture, but I was too lazy to get my good camera.)
That’s a little junk toy from some fast food restaurant, and a small Wilton icing spatula because… who doesn’t have that stuff in their purse? I’m sure the toy’s in there because I grabbed it for one of the kids or something, and the spatula’s there because my mom got married three weeks ago, and I helped her with her wedding cake. See, makes total sense.
For day 2 we’re going to move to the kitchen and declutter our utensil drawers. A couple years ago I reorganized our utensil drawer and, for the most part, it’s stayed under control. The expandable organizer was exactly what the drawer needed, but I have a weakness for kitchen tools so it’s starting to get a little full again.
If you’ve recently decluttered this space, yeah!!! Instead, set a timer for 15 minutes and work on a different area that needs attention and would help improve your day.
Because I enjoyed it so much yesterday, what’s the most ridiculous thing you found in your utensil drawer? Was there anything that had you thinking, “Why did I buy that?!”
