I didn’t understand why everyone raved about toaster ovens until I got this. We use our Breville toaster oven every single day now, and we can notice a huge difference in how our food tastes compared to when we used to microwave everything. Even my skeptical husband says it was a great purchase (that’s a BIG win in my book!). 🙂
Meal Prep & Storage
Freezer Bags
Freezer cooking is one of my most favorite kitchen hacks, and while I try to avoid storing food in plastic containers, I haven’t been able to find anything yet that beats a large ziplock bag. I lay the filled bags flat until frozen and then store them vertically in my freezer basically creating a little filing cabinet of easy to cook frozen meals.
Food Steamer
I love this steamer! It has two baskets so I can steam different things at one or larger portions of a single item. We use it a lot for veggies, and they turn out great.
Instant Pot
The Instant Pot is my most favorite kitchen gadget! They can cook things extremely quickly (perfect for those nights when I procrastinate) and keep things warm for hours. We use them for all kinds of things like ribs, potatoes, veggies, rice, soups, and you can even make cheesecake in it! They’re amazing! Every kitchen needs one.
Food Processor
Using a great food processor can make the experience of prepping meals so much easier! This is the fourth food processor I’ve owned, and while it’s definitely on the expensive side, it’s been worth every penny. I look at it as an investment in our meals and my sanity! 😉
Mason Jars
Versatile storage solutions are my absolute favorite, which is why mason jars are a must-have in our house. I use them to store everything from salad dressings and homemade sugar scrubs to craft supplies, paint brushes, and hair supplies.
Glass Food Storage Containers
After I learned about the dangers of storing food in plastic (like chemicals leaching into our food… yuck!), I switched all of our food storage containers to glass and haven’t looked back.
