One of the most common questions I get about my planners is what kind of binder I use. I purchased a large, black discbound planner from the Martha Stewart line at Staples years ago and absolutely love it. It’s really easy to add and remove papers, and it has a unique, fun look. (This is a smaller version of the one I have, and other lines are available in this same discbound style. It will require a special discbound hole punch.)
Planner Supplies
Post It Notes
Post It Notes are an office must-have in my house. They help me with my love of (can you guess…) color coding! And they’re easy to move and rearrange if plans change.
Washi Tape
Pretty washi tape is another planner must have in my house. It’s great for color coding for different people and events, and it’s repositionable so if something changes in real life it can change in my planner too.
Stickers
I love using stickers in my planners. They’re a fun, colorful way to identify important dates and events and add a little more visual interest to the page.
Laminator
I love laminating printables that I want to use over and over again. It’s an easy way to turn a checklist printable or chore chart into a mini wet or dry erase board that can be used multiple times, and it continues to look great.
Frixion Pens
These are my most favorite pens ever! They write extremely well, come in beautiful colors, and erase perfectly. I love using them for color coding in my planner, and I don’t have to worry about having an unsightly mess on my hands if I make a mistake because the handy little erasers take care of everything.
