I am by no means an expert, and compared to many I'm still a rookie when it comes to this whole marriage thing, but in honor of my 5th wedding anniversary I thought I'd share some things that have helped my husband and I have a happier marriage. 1) It's cliche, but communicate. Let me guess, you've heard this one before. That's because it really is the cornerstone of a healthy, happy relationship. In my opinion, it's extremely important to avoid playing games with people. Being passive ...Continue Reading
Bunny Door Decor
Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way. With just days to go before Easter, I knew I'd better get to this adorable bunny project before it was too late so I broke out the glue gun and got to work. Here's what you'll need: 3 pieces of scrapbook paper in varying shades of green floral tape 2 embroidery hoops (4" and 8") wire and wire cutters hot glue gun scissors ribbon (2-3 yards) First, you'll want to tape the hoops together using the floral tape. Next, shape wire ...Continue Reading

40 Bags in 40 Days Update: Free Printable
My 40 Bags in 40 Days project came to a grinding halt a few weeks ago as I started to get more and more uncomfortable carrying bambino #4. I never anticipated doing a bag a day because I knew some days I'd do more than one and other days I wouldn't get around to it at all, but I now only have 15 days left to complete my little decluttering mission, and I still have 30 bags to go (gulp!) In an effort to both motivate myself and successfully complete this challenge I created a printable to ...Continue Reading
Easy Easter Bunny Art
Meet our newest addition! I did my own little variation of the cute egg art I found on pinterest, and it was so fun and easy to make that I have a few other variations up my sleeve for the future. 40 Bags in 40 Days
One of my favorite blogs is Memories on Clover Lane through which author Sarah shares her experiences as a mother of 6. She's passionate about living an organized, uncluttered lifestyle, and she's inspired me to follow in her footsteps. I've decided to get rid of 40 Bags of Stuff in 40 Days. It sounds kind of overwhelming, doesn't it? Do we really have enough junk to get rid of that we can fill 40 bags? Sadly, we could probably double or triple that number and never miss a thing, but I'm ...Continue Reading
Meal Planning
Update! I've created a new version of my Grocery Shopping List to coordinate with other documents I've recently made. I made these weekly meal planning and grocery shopping papers to help me plan our meals and make my grocery shopping trips as efficient as possible. I love grocery lists that are organized by product type and store location because I hate to grocery shop, and I enjoy it even less when I reach the end of a trip only to realize the last item I need is at the other end of the ...Continue Reading
Easy Melting Snowman Cookies
These are the cookies I made for my son Daniel's class Christmas party (inspired by, where else, Pinterest). I was pretty happy with how they turned out. I did the white melted snow and detail work in royal icing, which I realized acouple days later wasn't the best choice when I almost chipped a tooth. For the first day or two the royal icing was great, but when it solidifies it doesn't mess around. It's like a confectionary concrete. Now I know why cakes at bridal shows always look so gorgeous. ...Continue Reading
