For as long as I can remember, Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday. I love that it focuses on gratitude (and food!), and makes me reflect on what’s really important.
Despite anything negative that’s happened in my life, I have been extremely blessed, but I don’t always have the easiest time remembering that. Sometimes I get a little too wrapped up in all of the, “Why are these things happening?” thoughts to see any of the blessings surrounding me.

In those moments, when I’m feeling down, overwhelmed, and unhappy, I’ve found the best solution is write down at least five things I’m thankful for. Forcing my mind to focus on the good is one of the fastest ways to reset my mood and put my problems into perspective.
Since Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, I thought I’d share a gratitude printable so you too can jot down a few things you’re thankful. You can use this printable to write down a couple things each day leading up to Thanksgiving or simply to journal or take notes.
Just enter your email in the box below, and your printable will automatically download as soon as you’ve confirmed your subscription. (You’ll want to sign up even if you’re already on my e-mail list, but don’t worry, you won’t get multiple e-mails from me.)
I have to admit that while I love Thanksgiving, I’ve always kind of dreaded Christmas. It seemed to serve as yet another yearly reminder that my family wasn’t a Norman Rockwell painting personified. I’ve mentioned a little before about how my dad died when I was five, and my mom, who was a single parent and air traffic controller, frequently had to work on Christmas, which left me alone for the holiday on more than one occasion. While I never really minded having a day to myself to watch tv, it always stung a little on Christmas when it felt like every other family in the world was having a special day.
However, as I’ve gotten older, married, and created my own family, I’ve grown to really love the holiday. It’s evolved from this depressing annual reminder into a magical day of quality time and giving, and since you all have become like a second family to me, I wanted to share that giving with all of you!
I know the holidays can sometimes be overwhelming so I wanted to create a giveaway that would help to make your life a little easier. Since so much of the holiday season is focused around the kitchen, I thought what better way to simplify life than with a giveaway that will help you get organized?!
Pressure Cooker / Under sink Storage
Sponge holder / Lazy Susan / Pantry Rack
Bag Organizer / Drawer Organizer
Expandable Shelf
Not Pictured: Erasable Food Labels
One lucky winner is going to receive all of my favorite kitchen organizing tools in the picture above, valued at almost $200! (Sorry, dishes, honey, and grocery bags not actually included.)
One huge key to getting and staying organized is having a home for everything. My hope for this giveaway is to help you create those homes for various objects around your kitchen so you always know where things are when you need them.
These are the items I love (or want! I don’t yet have a lazy susan, but it’s on my list) in my own kitchen that have helped me to create a more functional and easy to use space, and I hope they can help you do the same.
As for the pressure cooker, I threw that in for fun because it has completely revolutionized meals in our home! I received a pressure cooker for Christmas last year, and it has been a life saver more than once. I can be a bit of a procrastinator, and my pressure cooker rescues me every single time. Food that would normally take hours to cook is perfect and tender in just minutes. It’s seriously my most favorite thing I’ve ever gotten for my kitchen.

Good luck!
I have enjoyed decluttering….still have lot more to do…..I feel freer…less weighed down by disorganization and clutter….where did it come from? And I have gotten reacquainted with items I had forgotten.
I need to get drawer organizers, under the kitchen sink containers, etc. Please make suggestions with pictures on organizers.
Thank you.
Hi Diana, I so glad to hear you’re feeling freer and less weighed down. I think that’s the best part of decluttering! Some of my favorite items are in the giveaway above, but I could definitely recommend more. It would probably be a bit much for a comment, but I’ll work on that for a future post. Thanks so much for the suggestion and keep up the great work!
Thanks Emily, for the chance to win the wonderful kitchen set. Sure would help in getting things in the right place.
