Can you believe the holiday is just around the corner?! Oh wait, when I say “holiday” you might think, as any normal person would, that I’m talking about Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Those are exciting too, but in this house the biggest countdown this year seems to be for the new Star Wars movie! When Hallmark was kind enough to give me the chance to shop some of their newest holiday items, I knew the Star Wars Itty Bittys had to come home with us.
Our family has been having a blast with these little cuties! They’ve already had all kinds of adventures around our home, and I’m sure there will be many more to come.
If you’re looking for fun ways to use the itty bittys, here are a few options:
- Stocking stuffers! They’re the perfect size to slip into a stocking, and they look adorable peeking out.
- Ornaments: I’ve made a little Star Wars tree in our family room. I like having a big, fancy tree for the grown-ups, and a smaller fun tree for the kids, and the itty bittys were the perfect “ornaments” for this year’s kid tree. I just added some little hooks, and they were good to go.
- Star Wars countdown: You could create a countdown of some sort for the new movie’s release next month. A countdown would be a fun way to build anticipation and excitement for the new film.
- Create your own puppet shows or movies. That’s kind of what I’ve done with our itty bittys in the video below. I thought it would be fun to show the kids that their itty bittys are very busy doing things all over our house, and, just as I hoped, the kids ate it up! These are, as you’ll see in the video below, my daughter’s new favorite toys (and between you and me, my 13-year-old son is really enjoying the Darth Vader and Storm Trooper itty bittys, but shhh it’s a secret.) 😉
Don’t just take my word for it, though. This is my daughter talking all about our itty bittys and the fun and silly things they’ve been doing.
Do you have any itty bittys in your home? I’d love to hear if they’re better behaved than our Darth Vader. Nice try with that step stool, right?
To get your own itty bittys, new Christmas ornaments, cards, soaps, or other holiday decor, be sure to check out your local Hallmark Gold Crown store or Hallmark.com.

Great video! How did you add the templates in with the video? For instance the template with pretty Christmas tree on it?
Emily
I actually just made pictures in PicMonkey and put those in Windows moviemaker. I used a chalkboard background and the Christmas tree clip art I already had. I hope that helps! I know so little about movie making so there may be a better way to do this stuff, but I don’t know it yet! lol
Annie
ohmigoodness! she’s adorable!!
Emily
Thank you! She had a lot of fun. 🙂
Marie
These are freaking adorable! I want one! (or, you know, all of them!)
Emily
Aren’t they! They have all kind of characters too. I grabbed a couple Frozen and Inside Out itty bittys for my kiddos too, though, as you can see, my daughter loves the Star Wars ones as well.
Nina
Aw! What an awesome girl you got Emily 🙂 My husband is big on Star Wars and yep, talk about countdown to the Big Day lol.
Emily
Thanks, Nina! Yeah, part of me can’t wait until the movie comes out so the countdown can stop, but then I know I’ll be hearing about the movie all the time and the countdown for the next one will begin! It’s just never going to end. lol
