Whether you’re looking for a cute craft, tasty recipe, or adorable diy project, this post is full of great ideas and fun Easter activities for families.
Hippity, hoppity, Easter is on its way! We’ve had a pretty mild winter here in the Midwest this year, but I’m still excited for spring to begin and to see pastel colors and bunnies everywhere I look. Signs of warmer weather are very welcome right now, even to this sweater-loving girl.
Fun Easter Ideas for Families
1. Almond Sugar Easter Cookies
These Almond Sugar Cookies from Tastes of Lizzy T are the perfect treat for an Easter celebration. The kiddos are sure to love their bright, fun colors, and they’re a great sweet treat to enjoy along with jelly beans.
2. Easter Egg Countdown and Free Printables
Countdown to Easter with this cute display of plastic eggs! As far as fun Easter games go, this one was one of my kids’ favorites.
Each day, we’d open an egg in anticipation of Easter to discover a different prize or treat inside. Some eggs were stuffed with paper that would instruct us to either pray for someone or do a special Easter-themed activity.
As far as Easter activities for families go, this one can really let your creativity run wild! You could fill each egg with a different clue for a scavenger hunt, quotes from the Bible, cards for charades, and you could even use them as resurrection eggs and leave the last one an empty egg to talk about Jesus and the tomb being empty.
The ways you can use this are truly endless so get some construction paper and get started!
3. DIY Easter Bunny Card
This cute bunny card from Stamping with Linda is an adorable way to celebrate the Easter season. You could use it to send season’s greetings or invite people over for an Easter egg hunt.

15. Easy Easter Bunny Paper Art
Creating a cute piece of art is actually really easy to make and the perfect Easter activity for the family to do together. This Easy Easter Art (by moi) was made with pieces of scrapbook paper and a simple bunny shape cut out of white paper. This is a great project because it’s simple and yet everyone’s piece will still look unique.
16. Monogrammed Eggs with Easter Themes
Monogram Easter Eggs like these from Mom Favorites are a sweet addition to the Easter season. They can eventually be turned into deviled eggs or used for a spoon race without the mess a raw egg would create.
17. Easter Chick Oreo Pops
These adorable Easter Chick Oreo Pops from About a Mom are one of the cutest Oreo transformations I’ve ever seen! Prop the sticks up in some foam and Easter grass, and you’ll have a cute little flock that’s ready to be gobbled up.
18. Marshmallow Peeps in a Blanket
Spring can still be a little chilly, in our part of the world at least, so why not make some Peeps in a Blanket like these from Bitz n Giggles. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of these little marshmallow creatures, but with a little candy coating or chocolate, I think I could be convinced to take a bite or two.
19. Peeps Pudding Cups Treat
How CUTE are these little Peeps Pudding Cups from Mom Foodie? I love these little bunnies and carrots sticking out of the “dirt.” What a fun twist on the usual gummy worm variation I’ve seen before. My kids would love these!
20. Spring Daisy Treat on a Stick
These Sweet Blooms from Bitz n Giggles would be a pretty addition to any spring or Easter gathering. The stick is a great bonus because it just might help little fingers to stay clean.
Aren’t those so sweet?! Nothing gets me ready for spring better than cute little chicks and fluffy bunnies. Too cute!
